Performs visual inspection to help identify cracks, corrosion, dents, linear scratches running to bolt holes or stress raisers, or leaks on components before deeper NDT methods are applied-Verify dimensional accuracy using tools such as calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, borescopes, and dial indicators. Dimensional inspection ensures that parts meet OEM tolerances and specifications, comparing results with manufacturer models, manuals, and standard practices manuals to verify inspection limits, allowable wear, and rework-Conduct Magnetic Particle (MPI) and Liquid Penetrant Inspections (LPI) on governor parts, propeller blades, hubs, and associated parts for cracks, pitting, and surface/slightly sub-surface defects-Interpret discontinuities by industry regulatory standard codes, PropWorks standards, and OEM specifications ( Hartzell, McCauley, MT Propeller, etc)-Adhere to workplace safety protocols, including handling chemicals and working around rotating equipment-Maintain a clean and organized work area to avoid cross-contamination and ensure inspection integrity-apply testing criteria following applicable standards and specifications Finally, evaluate the material under inspection, organize, and report test results
