ShelterSquare Foundation (SSF)\'s mission is to promote equitable and dignified housing for workers, particularly in the unorganized and informal sector. It was established in August 2023 as an incubation initiative by Aajeevika Bureau. As a Housing Management Specialist at SSF, I develop research studies for the migrant housing projects run by SSF. My work includes selection of methodologies, sampling techniques and tools, conducting quantitative and qualitative research, as well as training and supervising ground research team at SSF. The studies fundamentally explore the management aspects of migrant rental housing markets, especially around housing decisions in correlation to migration cycle, social networks, and employment dynamics. My analysis currently guides shaping a \'hybrid\' management framework for migrant hostels for power-loom workers in Surat and paves path towards future housing interventions.
