ABOUT CHIARA AGOSTINI
I am a civil engineer with ten years of experience in preliminary/detail design and construction of railway/road tunnel, subway stations and support works, gained while working for a spercialised tunnel construction company and for design firms. My working career includes two years as TBM and site engineer for SELI S.p.A. on the Milan Metro Line 5 and Rome Metro Line B1 projects and eight years as a designer and project manager at Studio Geotecnico Strutturale (S.G.S.) in Rome and ARUP in London. With regards to design, I have worked for many years on the analysis, modeling, and calculation of structures, tunnels and geotechnical works. Recently, I have been responsible for the supervision and coordination of internal resources (junior engineers and cad/BIM technicians), managing relationships with Clients and Contractors in relation to the technical and economical aspects of a project, and drafting technical/economic proposals for the participation in tenders.
