ABOUT CHIAM YU NG
I am a computational biologist specializing in building computational tools and predictive ML/mechanistic models to accelerate synthetic biology. I have led projects from model development to strain engineering, balancing technical leadership with hands-on contributions.Recently, my work has focused on developing end-to-end deep learning pipelines (PyTorch, VertexAI, Hydra, TensorBoard/Wandb) that transform heterogeneous multi-omics datasets into actionable biological insights. My experience also extends to the full software lifecycle: from lab data engineering and management (LIMS, SQLAlchemy, BigQuery, BI tools), to automating DBTL workflows, to deploying scientific applications (Flask, Pyramid) from prototype to production.
