About Chhaya Dabas
Reimagining female footwear. Building in India and for Indian feet first and then for the world. Previously: For the better part of 2024, I was part of the Corporate Communications team at Ola (Ola Electric, Ola Krutrim and Ola Consumer) where I played a key role shaping the corporate and brand narrative of a now publicly listed company. I took charge of leadership engagements and communication; internal communication; investor and stakeholder management and pre-IPO external communication strategy.Served as faculty at Harappa and Harappa School of Leadership. My role also involved working closely with CEO, Shreyasi Singh on several corporate branding projects like leadership podcasts.Led the Corporate Communications mandate at Zomato working directly with founders Deepinder Goyal and Aakriti Chopra. Prior to which, led client relations and digital mandates on integrated pitches at Edelman India.Founder at Baatein - a communications’ boutique specializing in B2B services such as podcast production and storytelling workshops for educational institutes and clients like HT Media, Oziva, Paytm-Insider and Sunlife Insurance. Education: I fulfilled my MA in Digital Culture and Society from King\'s College London (2018) and hold a published thesis with distinction on the topic - Impact of Social Media on Gender Dynamics in India, I also was part of a stringently selected cohort of 30 for the WWF-Microsoft led Create to Inspire fellowship in 2016 and the Coveted \'Poets for Change\' in London.Other feathers in my cap: podcast host, TEDx speaker, UN speaker and gritty cancer survivor.

The problem we are trying to solve is that there does not exist a shoe that marries design and comfort, at a premium, aspirational yet affordable positioning. The industry is plagued with a very high return ratio, we are actively trying to solve this by developing adaptable, functional and adjustable footwear for the Indian feet.
