Welcome to my digital abode! I\'m Cheyanne, a first-year Computer Science student at Wilbur Wright College in Chicago, IL. I am deeply interested in the intersection of technology and other engineering fields, particularly Chemical and Biomedical Engineering. As I navigate my college years, I am open to connecting with both industry professionals and fellow students to learn, share insights, and explore mentorship and internship opportunities! About Me: Academic Pursuits: I am exploring diverse engineering disciplines through the esteemed Engineering Program at my college, with an intent to pursue UIUC Grainger pathway. My active participation in engineering organizations like SWE (Society of Women Engineers), SASE (Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers), ACM (Association for Computing Machinery), SHPE (Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers), and ACS (American Chemical Society) keeps me engaged and informed in the field. Leadership: I take on leadership roles with deep commitment currently serving as Vice President of Samahan (Filipino Organization) and Co-Treasurer of the SWE Wright College chapter. These roles enable me to hone my leadership and organizational skills outside the classroom. Research: I am also venturing into the world of research as a Junior Research Assistant at Wilbur Wright College. This role has sparked my interest in scientific inquiry, which I plan to further pursue through summer research programs. My goal is to gain experience that will help me in future academic and professional endeavors. Passions & Interests: Beyond academics, I have a strong passion for the arts, ranging from painting and photography to graphic design and digital art. This creative side fuels my ability to think innovatively and creatively in my technical pursuits. 🩺 Aspirations & Dreams: In the future, I aim to blend my skills in technology and engineering to make impactful contributions to the medical industry. My long-term goal is to return to academia to pursue a PhD in Biomedical Engineering, as I continue to explore this dynamic field.
