ABOUT CHEVON POTTINGER

My journey in accounting started in 2001 when I landed my first intern job, which came at the end of a certification program. This job entails filing, running errands to other departments and very minimum and basic data entry. I performed these tasks with a great attitude, motivated by determination and ambition, making time each day to learn at least one new task. Six months and a movement in the department later, I was offered my first Accounts Payable position. Seven years later, I resigned as the Junior Accountant of the company having held positions in all areas of accounting (Accounts Payable, receivables, general cashier, income audit, cost control). Over the years, I have worked and studied simultaneously and my growth and knowledge has been consistent. Along the way, I became a motivator and developed my management, leadership, interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal). I possess strong attention to details, I am highly organized, I multitask effectively and I am excellent at prioritizing. Most importantly for me, I have been able to lead different teams, pass on substantial accounting knowledge and successfully build a legacy in accounting for the companies that I have worked and the people that I have worked with.
