Mr. Dicke is a professional civil engineer that specializes in geotechnical engineering.    Geotechnical engineering responsibilities include: Subcontractor procurement, develop field and laboratory work plans, coordinate with drilling subcontractors, assign laboratory tests and review results, perform field inspections (soil and rock logging and sample collection) and oversee field investigations, perform engineering analysis (bearing capacity, deep foundation design, slope stability, settlement analysis, design of earth retention structures, etc.), preparing geotechnical memorandums and reports, works directly with the Geotechnical Practice Leader. Civil engineering responsibilities include: Prepare construction cost estimates, write technical specifications for project documents, and utilize computer aided design software (AutoCAD Civil 3D) to draft and assemble construction drawings (Report Figures, Site Plans, Boring Layouts, Site Grading, Typical Details, determine construction earthwork quantities, etc…).
