About Cheska Villar
I am a Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business cum laude graduate with a B.S. in Global Business and Global Marketing with Consumer Insights concentration. I also spent a semester abroad at the University of Amsterdam through their Global Exchange Program. I’m pursuing a career in Event Production and Marketing. As a Marketing & Events Coordinator at Powered by Professionals, I contribute to events that have raised over $114M for esteemed non-profits such as United Way, Authors Guild, and the National Down Syndrome Society. I first started as an Event Management & Fundraising Intern, where I supported silent auction efforts and fundraising initiatives and contributed to the success of events through research and correspondence with vendors and sponsors. While studying in Amsterdam, I was a Marketing & PR Intern at Everbloom and promoted client initiatives and drove engagement across social media, contributing to the success of the Retention Accelerator Program Co-Hosted with Mario Joos. I have also worked at SERHANT. as a Marketing Events Intern for Sell It Mastermind Summits, planning and executing corporate events attended by real estate professionals at high-profile venues like Soho Grand Hotel, NoMo SoHo, and Central Park Tower. From my diverse industry experience and the invigorating nature of my current role, I have gained valuable skills in project management, delegation, effective resource allocation, task prioritization, and cross-functional teamwork. With such competencies, I am confident in demonstrating my leadership ability through effective and impactful communication, problem-solving, and adaptability. I am excited for opportunities of continued growth to further nurture these skills and adopt higher-level professionalism in my work.Outside of my professional role, I am also a member of the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls, a youth non-profit where I’ve dedicated over six years to organizing volunteer efforts and managing donor outreach and fundraising goals, fulfilling my passion for making a meaningful impact in my community. You may contact me at v••••••••@gmail.com.I look forward to hearing from you!
