ABOUT CHESKA ANILAO
My name is Cheska Anilao, I am a female LGBTQ+ Filipino immigrant, and I am a alumni at ArtCenter College of Design, majoring in Illustration – Entertainment Arts. My intention is to grow and learn from the best storytellers in the industry, and create high quality storyboards with dynamic story-telling abilities. My current focus is action comedy storyboards for animated shows. My overall focus is to tell visual, cinematic stories that push the boundaries of film making. Before ArtCenter, I was a Solo-Licensed Skydiver. I traveled and jumped out of planes with different skydivers from around the world who often carried the most beautiful stories. I’ve met brain surgeons, professional surfers, humble elementary school teachers, to cross-country travelers with nothing but a car full of clothes and a magic backpack. I heard their stories of how jumping out of a perfectly good airplane connected us all together. They taught me that whoever I was, whatever I did, and where ever I came from, that in the sky, we’d all fall the same way: fast. The skydive community brings unique stories from different skydivers all around the world and is one of the main reason why I want to purse a storytelling career
