AP Capital operates a mortgage investment corporation (or MIC as they are commonly called). AP Capital MIC is a pooled private capital fund that offers Western Canadian homebuyers and homeowners an alternative to bank or credit union financing. We source mortgage solutions through licensed mortgage brokers and fund only deals we choose. AP mortgages are short-term (1 year) and always secured by real estate primarily located in urban markets of Western Canada. Our team manages the full lifecycle of every mortgage in the fund’s portfolio. Since 2007, and more than 1,800 mortgages funded and managed, we are proud of our past performance with a 10-year average annual return of 7.61%(audited, net of fees). Hi, I\'m Ches, CEO at AP Capital, past President of the BC MIC Association (BCMMA), and co-founder of Vendasta Technologies.We started AP Capital in 2007. AP operates a Mortgage Investment Corporation (or MIC as we are commonly known). We fund mortgages when banks and credit unions may not, as we offer short-term mortgage options to residential home purchasers and existing owners. Mortgages are secured by primarily single detached homes in urban areas and sourced solely through licensed mortgage brokers. Capital is raised through family offices, Portfolio Managers, Investment Dealers and EMDs, as well as institutional investors across Canada. BCMMA represents 30 mortgage funds, managing in excess of $5B in Canada (primarily placed in BC), and helps be the industry\'s voice to the public and regulators.In 2008, a few keen software peeps started Vendasta, an exciting fast-growing software company based in Saskatoon, Canada.
