Cheryl Yarrington, RDN, MS, CD, CLE Hello! I’m Cheryl, owner and founder of Nutrition Matters! Since 1997 when I started the company out of my basement I had this goal in mind - to create valuable, affordable, and research based nutrition education that families with little children love and want to receive. Flash forward 22 years, our company’s education is used by WIC Programs, Head Start Programs, Day Care Centers, Pediatric Clinics, Elementary Schools, Cooperative Extension Programs, Community Action Agencies and more throughout the United States. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics and Master of Science degree in Food Science and Nutrition from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. Go Bluedevils! I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and Wisconsin Certified Dietitian (CD). As well, a Certified Lactation Educator (CLE). After 30+ years of experience working in the WIC Program, I truly believe families want to receive helpful hints, delicious recipes and ideas to promote a healthy lifestyle. I love translating current nutrition knowledge into practical, easy to read nutrition education material. Outside of work, you can find me in my garden (I love growing fresh tomatoes, basil and cucumbers), cooking new recipes, and spending time with my husband and family, especially playing with our grandchild.
