Evergreen Wellness is dedicated to helping women and men over the age of 50 (and 60, 70, and 80) engage with one another in community to find ways to live a life worth living longer.People are realizing retirement years last longer (much longer) than they used to. With aging comes challenges, both physical and mental. What will you do to fill your days? Sit on a park bench? Seek out social opportunities? Continue (or find a new) career path? Volunteer? Travel the world? Find new hobbies? Run for elective office? Write your memoir? Watch TV all day? Become a gym rat? Join in a cause? All of the above? None of the above? There’s a lot to consider and it can be overwhelming.For 27 years, my husband John and I owned a full-service marketing company serving a wide array of clients. One of them turned out to be the inspiration for Evergreen Wellness.A couple of years after starting our business, we were lucky to be introduced to the largest and most amazing retirement community in the world, The Villages®. The Villages today is a vibrant, thriving community of tens of thousands of active adults enjoying the best years of their lives. For 20 years, we worked closely with its community leaders and thousands of residents to produce marketing videos and other materials to draw people to the unmatched healthy lifestyle offered at The Villages.Based on the depth of this experience, we thought: “What if we were to take this community’s lifestyle as inspiration to create an online community where women and men 50+ share ideas on ways to enrich their lives?\"Evergreen Wellness – For a Life Worth Living Longer.™
