About Cheryl Cuozzo
Cheryl Cuozzo is a double Master\'s prepared, dual board-certified Adult/Family Nurse Practitioner with integrative medicine credentialing. She is passionate about the use of nutrition, neutraceuticals, exercise/fitness and mindfulness in the restoration and preservation of health. She has a special interest in the care of military veterans; especially those experiencing Gulf War-related illness. Cheryl is a Fellow of the Academy of Integrative Health & Medicine- the first and only NP in CT to earn FAIHM credentials. She also is NADA certified in auricular acupuncture, and holds a certificate in plant-based nutrition from Cornell University T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies. As a former critical care RN and acute care NP, Cheryl has a strong clinical and teaching background including classroom teaching, health education content development and medical editing. She also has experience in pharmaceutical research and development, spanning from research nursing to global clinical trial operations. Multiple publications and other achievements highlight a diverse, multifaceted career. Cheryl credits the late great Dr. Jim Sensenig, ND for catapulting her integrative medicine journey.
