About Cheryl Aguilar
I am a bilingual social worker committed to advancing the rights and opportunities of low-income people, people of color and immigrants. I combine my over 20 decade experience in journalism, public relations, advocacy, community organizing, non-profit and social work to elevate issues important to underserved communities and to help advance community members through therapy, empowerment, leadership development, etc. As a social worker, I aim to assist community members who are underserved rise above their mental health challenges and stressors they face each day due to their economic, social, and political status, and work with them towards a path of healing. Prior to my social work career, I worked in media as researcher and reporter, and for the public and private sectors as media and communications specialist.
