WORK HISTORY
Air Resources Engineer (Research Division) @California Air Resources Board
Sacramento, CA, US
Team member of the F-gas Reduction Strategy Section at CARB. My priority assignment is developing and authoring an assessment report as direct by CA SB 1206, specifying how to transition the state\'s economy, by sector, away from hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) and to ultra-low-GWP (GWP < 10) or no-GWP alternatives by 2035. I also assist my team with other assignments, such as implementation of CARB\'s HFC Regulation, implementation of SB 1206, management of CA\'s F-gas inventory, and CARB\'s F-gas Reduction Incentive Program (FRIP); as well as coordinate meetings with stakeholders, relevant industry experts, and other public agencies.

ABOUT CHERYL WINFIELD
I have a strong passion for protecting our Earth\'s environment for the success and enjoyment of future generations through the nexus of science, engineering, and policy work (and Iām personally inspired to do this work for my niece and nephew). I strive to be an advocate for those who are so often left behind and left out of the conversation. My dream is to travel the world and taste as many different coffees and teas as possible!
