About Cheryl Toh
Most recently, I led Coupang’s Global Mobility, Immigration and Mobility Tax programs and teams. My focus areas were- Delivering on the 3-year roadmap I had built for my function- Coaching and raising the bar for a team of 25 (which grew from a team of 8 within 2 years!)- Continuously identifying and implementing operational excellence for Coupang’s programs that are growing at X00% YoY- Building and implementing the GMIT program in new markets, in addition to enhancing the existing markets (particularly in Korea and Taiwan); and - Building trusting relationships with stakeholders and peer teams. Immediately prior to Coupang, I was the leader of Klaviyo\'s Global Mobility function, consisting of mobility/relocation, immigration and mobility tax. I was responsible for- Setting up this brand new global function in Klaviyo from the ground up- Building their multi-year roadmap- Creating a global mobility framework- Benchmarking and operationalizing Immigration and Global Mobility policies- Building and implementing scaled and automated processes; and - Creating and implementing an inaugural tiered operating model. Building teams or turning programs around excite me. My skills include program strategy, policy development, supplier/vendor management (I view the suppliers as an extension of my team), building scalable programs and processes. I stay abreast on mobility trends, immigration laws, tax regulations and the evolution of the future of work/remote work. I have personal experience in relocating (lived in Singapore, the UAE and the US), which has made me a culturally-aware and empathetic leader and team member. My personal learnings have enabled me to ideate and build employee-centric programs and processes.
