ABOUT CHERYL HERTEL

Vice President, Strategy, currently responsible for corporate strategy at CoxHealth in Springfield, MO. Established in 1906, CoxHealth serves more than people in a 25-county service area in southwest Missouri and northwest Arkansas, offering a comprehensive array of primary and specialty care, including five hospitals and more than 80 clinics in 25 communities. Transition to role of strategy executive follows the previous 5 years serving as the Chief Information Officer for the health system. Current responsibilities include managing all aspects of strategic planning for the health system as well as ensuring that all strategic projects are well defined with measurable objectives that align to CoxHealth\'s mission and vision as an organization.Prior to CoxHealth, spent 20+ years at Cerner Corporation, managing clinical design strategy for Cerner’s core clinical documentation, nursing, pharmacy and ancillary therapy workflows. Expanded leadership role to include managing international software localization investments and international market entry process (20••••12) broadening Cerner’s international presence and contributing significantly to international client achievements which have resulted in HIMSS level 6 and 7 awards in 5 countries and 3 languages. 3 years (20••••15) of experience developing strategies and market direction related to Population Health, community and consumer care including care management, interoperability, post-acute care, consumer and member health and wellness engagement.2 years within Cerner\'s consulting organization (20••••17) responsible for all clinical, financial, regulatory, and community consultants in the US.More than 12 years of clinical nursing experience in critical care, ICU and emergency medicine specialties.
