I\'m a career member of the Senior Foreign Service, class of Minister Counselor. I served as Chargé d’Affaires, a.i, at the U.S. Embassy in Oslo July-August 2024, on temporary loan from Embassy Berlin, where I was the Counselor for Public Engagement from June 2022 to May 2025.@usbotschaft @USAmbGermany.From 20••••21, I served as the U.S. Special Envoy for Holocaust Issues. Prior State Department postings included tours in the Western Balkans, Oslo, the Middle East, on country desks, and details to the Senate (2006-7) and to the White House as Special Advisor for Europe and Russia in the Office of then-Vice President Joe Biden (2012-13). Focus areas have included national security, crisis management, political affairs, transatlantic partnership, conflict resolution, public diplomacy and outreach, and advancing women’s role in public policy formulation. An experienced executive leader, I have managed large teams of civil and foreign service officers, including as Director of the Executive Secretariat Staff (“the Line”), in S/ES, from 2017-19. Board and other ex officio Executive leadership positions held so far during tenure at the U.S. Department of State: Member of the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Council, 2019-21. Treasurer, Board of Trustees of the U.S-German Fulbright Commission, 20••••25. Chairperson of the 11-member nation “International Task Force for the International Tracing Service,” which guides the work of the Arolsen Archive— International Center on Nazi Prosecution, 2020-21. Head of the U.S. Delegation to the 35-member nation International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA), 20••••21.
