I am an interdisciplinary sociologist working at the intersection of economic development, media, and political change across the United States, Europe, Africa, and the MENA region. I teach and study political economy, focusing on how governance, inequality, and media shape economic opportunity, and serve as a series editor at Peter Lang on related themes. I lead student-driven, field-based projects focused on real challenges in low-income and underserved communities. My work connects sociology, political economy, and media analysis to understand and address global change.
