About Cherokee Chatterton
Throughout my undergrad, I had experience working directly with my professors gaining knowledge of how labs function by working as a student lab assistant. I also worked as a student peer tutor where I helped students in courses such as organic chemistry, physics, calculus, and other math/science courses. I learned organization, leadership, and increased my ability to think critically. I participated in undergraduate research and presented it at the Texas Academy of Science annual conference and Undergraduate Research Day at the Capitol. I graduated cum laude with my undergraduate degree with a bachelor\'s of science and won outstanding science student of the year. I have recently graduated with my MS in biomedical engineering where I had several opportunities to write research proposals and apply my knowledge with a unique perspective. I\'ve used programs like RStudio, MATLAB, and ImageJ to model or analyze data. I am currently looking to break into industry and utilize my distinct skill set. I have experience with image processing and analysis, data analysis, modeling and simulation, biomaterials, and many other biological topics. I am open to any opportunities that aim to make a difference and increase overall quality of life.
