I am a graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, a Licensed Professional Counselor, and a National Certified Counselor. While completing my graduate work, I received the Outstanding Master\'s Student Award at both the Program and University level, as well as two grant awards to present at two separate conferences. I conducted research on two grants (NIH and SAMSHA) in the areas of child abuse and substance abuse. I am also the creator and facilitator of a substance abuse and family counseling workshop through the University of Alabama at Birmingham Learning Institute. Currently, I am in private practice and located in Alabaster, Alabama.
