ABOUT CHERAU JAIN

Hi, I\'m a Software Engineer with experience in building and operating production grade systems in high impact environments.Currently working at FlixBus in Berlin, I work on backend services for Planr, an internal tool used by Network Planners to design and publish bus and train schedules across regions. My work spans APIs, distributed systems, data pipelines, and observability with a strong focus on performance, reliability, and ownership. I\'ve led backend development for critical APIs, worked extensively with Kafka based workflows, improved system performance through GraphQL and caching strategies and driven data and cost optimizations using Snowflake.Previously, I interned at Amazon, where I worked on a customer facing, latency sensitive search feature for Q&A and Reviews. The feature was designed with strict performance constraints, rolled out using A/B testing and launched across multiple countries impacting millions of users.I enjoy working on problems that sit at the intersection of system design, data consistency, and scale and I care a lot about building software that is both reliable in production and easy for teams to operate. I’m especially interested in backend and platform roles in companies where engineering quality and long-term ownership matter.
