ABOUT CHENXU VINCENT GUO
I am a goal-oriented and enthusiastic molecular/cellular biochemist with 7+ years of diverse basic and applied research experience in genetic engineering of cells and exosomes. I have extensive experience in teamwork and leadership as the lead research scientist in collaborations with multiple biopharmaceutical companies, including AstraZeneca, AbbVie, Capricor Therapeutics, and NanoView Biosciences. As a Johns Hopkins-AstraZeneca Scholar, I have received diverse scientific training in both biochemistry at Hopkins and oncology at AstraZeneca, gaining valuable research experiences in the overlapping yet distinct environments of academia and industry. I have made original scientific discoveries in the areas of exosome biogenesis and engineering, advancing our understanding of a fundamental cell biological process and using these advances as a roadmap for the design and manufacture of exosome-based vaccines and therapeutics. My PhD training and exploration of science from basic research to translational pipeline, along with my multidisciplinary background in quantitative economics (BA) and chemistry (BS), has enabled me to advance human health through the pursuit of scientific breakthroughs and technological innovations. My ultimate goal is to create better treatments for patients. If you share a similar vision, let’s connect!
