About Cheng Ren
I am a data scientist for social good and a Ph.D. student in Social Welfare and Designated Emphasis in Computational and Data Science and Engineering Program at the University of California, Berkeley. I am also a Senior Data Science Fellow at the Data-intensive Social Sciences Lab (D-Lab).I applied R and Python for more than 7 years in multiple real-life cases including industry branding, nonprofit development, social media analysis with ML and NLP. I am also a big fan of geographic information systems (GIS), I produced several interactive maps for research labs and nonprofits.
