Leads goal-setting, strategic design, implementation, and evaluation of communications, partnerships and outreach initiatives for My School DC.My key roles include- Producing Annual EdFEST – the District’s annual public school fairs which bring together all public and public charter school options that serve PK3 – Grade 8 and Grades 9-12. These events allow for families to directly engage with and learn about their public school options in advance of the lottery application period. 2023 EdFESTs had record-breaking attendance (over attendees between the two events)- Managing grassroot strategies include phone banking, materials distribution, and application support within our target communities- Maintaining and growing partnerships with government, community-based, and other nonprofit and faith-based organizations that serve the District’s families with the threefold goal of (1) reaching families where they are,(2) building trusting relationships with trusted organizations, and (3) aligning partners on key lottery messaging and information- Managing communication through multiple channels to deepen our brand, including My School DC’s website, social media channels, My School DC email and text alerts, mailers to our target communities, and paid advertising- Coordinating events with partner organizations and the My School DC Parent Advisory Council with the purpose of directly engaging with and informing families- Briefing elected officials and the Mayor’s Office of Community Relations and Services (MOCRS), to keep constituents informed of key dates and how to access My School DC- Managing the Parent Advisory Council (with parent representation from all eight Wards)- Serving as Contract Administrator and Project Manager for My School DC\'s Outreach Contract
