I’m Chelsea VonChaz — founder, wellness advocate, and creative force behind #HappyPeriod, the first Black-led menstrual movement focused on advancing wellness through decolonized health education and cultural change.Driven by the need to close gaps in menstrual equity and access, I launched #HappyPeriod to empower people with periods — particularly Black women and girls — through holistic care, pH balance education, and community-based storytelling. Under my leadership,#HappyPeriod has donated over $3.5 million in menstrual care products and earned multiple Anthem Awards for our groundbreaking impact in health education, nonprofit leadership, and collaboration.Known professionally as The Period Doula, I combine my background as a former fashion stylist with my expertise as a certified full-spectrum doula to create experiences, branding, content, and strategies that connect wellness with culture.
