ABOUT CHELSEA EDNIE

I started in Marketing at the ripe age of 10 years old. well, kind of. I used to be a huge fan of a show called iCarly: essentially, two best friends host their own web show. I was devastated when it ended, so naturally, I grouped together my closest friends at the time and made my own web show! I built my very first website, put flyers on bulletin boards at school, local stores, and even asked Papa Johns to hand out flyers with their pizzas. Believe it or not, they did! Unfortunately, this web page is still up and running. It has not been updated since I was 11, so take it with a grain of salt. We don\'t talk about it. I promise I\'m more efficient now. Anyways, I also have a passion for helping people! I worked with a non-profit organization called The MOG Project and ran social media there for a few years. I hopped around at The MOG Project and learned a lot in the process. I ran social media, managed interns, reported on various metrics, updated our web page, designed graphics and other marketing materials for socials, the web page, events. and much more! I was with The MOG Project from the age of 16 until very recently and still help out where I can.My college experience was very unique. I was able to apply most content from my marketing courses towards my Marketing efforts at The MOG Project, so it was a great way to put my learning into action and see what matters most in the Marketing world: growth. While at WVU, I was a part of the Advertising club and made graphics for local businesses by request. I also had the opportunity to study International Marketing in Australia for a semester, which was a great experience. I had a great time seeing another part of the globe and would suggest it to anyone who is not afraid of bugs. Really big bugs.Post-grad, while in pursuit of Marketing and Sales based opportunities, I was a part of the banking industry for just over a year and a half. I had an extremely positive experience at the Bank of Clarke and am so grateful for my team there. My journey into the Marketing Industry felt impossible at times, but I am so grateful for the connections, growth and learning opportunities BOC provided to me. Currently, I am working as a Marketing Manager at American Manufacturing Company, Inc. based in Elkwood, VA. I am very optimistic about the future and am excited to be a part of a tight-knit team. Follow along!
