At Wellesley College\'s Psychology Department\'s \"Imaginary Lab\", I\'m assisting with research that analyzes children\'s imaginary companions and \"pretend play\" behavior and how these two behaviors differ. Additionally, we are analyzing whether children\'s relationships with imaginary companions and parasocial relationships (i.e, one-way ties to media characters) are the same. My responsibilities include coding data, creating transcripts from interviews using AI, reviewing Institutional Review Board (IRB) applications, and collaborating with research assistants on ongoing research projects to find indications of optimism in young children
