Responsible for capital improvement and budget planning for key compliance and pollution reduction projects.• Works closely with engineering team, advising sustainable design considerations and evaluating permitting and monitoring requirements for new projects.• Collaborates with WSC\'s team of programmers to leverage technology to improve efficiency and accuracy of monitoring and reporting. Examples include: • designed an in-house data acquisition and handling system (DAHS) for continuous emissionsmonitoring systems (CEMS). The project provided full independence from third party service providers and allows for optimal transparency and metrics tracking of data and more; • using, Jotform, designed a sophisticated chemical approval process and back-end database that speciates and aggregates individual constituents of chemical products and integrates with inventories in SAP to simplify complex chemical reporting (i.e. TRI); and • led a team in designing and deploying innovative predictive emissions monitoring systems for two WSC facilities as a preferred alternative to compliance with the requirements of NSPS Db.• Orchestrated an appeal of an NPDES permit that was unlawful, serving as the the company\'s lead fact witness and deponent in a case that resulted in settlement and a permit which was remanded back to the state regulators.• Developed a system for standardized compliance task management; an effective EMS, including an internal environmental audit program; and a standardized and integrated filing and document control system using SharePoint.• Oversees environmental compliance reporting in all states where the company operates. Reports include Greenhouse Gas (GHG) and emissions inventories, Toxic Release Inventory (TRI), New Source Performance Standards (NSPS), National Emissions Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP), Title V, EPCRA Tier II, and discharge monitoring reports (DMRs).
