Assets and content are quickly becoming the life force of companies, and as we continually produce more, we are learning what librarians and catalogers have known for years: accessibility is key. Digital asset management is less about creatively storing assets but rather about how to best connect assets with customers. Having worked with DAM sites for the past ten years, I have gained experience in not only implementing and maintaining them, but also training global users on best practices, reviewing analytics, and forecasting future requirements as the company’s needs continue to grow and shift. DAM sites run the gamut in functionality and UX, but understanding the underlying fundamentals allows me to quickly learn and master them. My experience with multiple systems and differing business models and DAM needs uniquely positions me as an ideal Digital Asset Manager.
