ABOUT CHELSEA CURFMAN

As a partner at Perkins Coie LLP and a member of the firm\'s White Collar & Investigations practice, I represents companies around the globe facing potential sanctions or enforcement actions from regulatory agencies in the U.S. and abroad, including the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the UK Serious Fraud Office, and the World Bank\'s Integrity and Compliance Office. The majority of my practice centers around conducting internal investigations into allegations of bribery, corruption, accounting and securities fraud, violations of company policy, or other misconduct. I manage both multinational and small-scale internal investigations, and frequently counsel clients on handling whistleblower claims and self-reporting potential violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and other anti-bribery and anti-corruption (ABAC) laws to U.S. and foreign authorities. In addition to my investigation practice, I regularly counsel clients on all aspects of their anti-corruption and integrity compliance programs, from the initial creation of program policies and procedures, to monitoring program implementation and evaluating internal controls. As part of this process, I provide training for company executives, management teams, and legal and compliance personnel. I have worked with companies of all sizes and across industries, including the extractive industries, oil and gas, telecommunications, automotive, apparel and other manufacturing, biotechnologies, and construction. I am a founding member of the Denver chapter of the Women in White Collar Defense Association, and a member of the ABA\'s Global Anti-Corruption Committee. I also serve as an adjunct professor at the University of Colorado School of Law, where I teach a course on the FCPA and other anti-bribery and anti-trafficking laws.
