Catered primarily to specialty diets (i.e. organic, kosher, vegan/vegetarian, spa/detox, gluten-free, low carb, and low fat). Developed curricula for adults and children, prepared lesson plans and shopping lists, and taught basic culinary skills and nutritional information to individuals as well as groups of up to 15 students. Advised on suitable meal choices/substitutions and helped to troubleshoot issues such as proper portioning and working with novel ingredients. For certain institutional clients (i.e. Milestones in Recovery, Common Threads, Cooking with Kids Miami), opened/closed the business and supervised assistants. Aided with marketing and enrollment of classes by drafting website copy, preparing promotional flyers, and advertising with social media tools such as Facebook, Twitter, Linked In, Instagram, and Pinterest.
