Duties: Cultural Resource management of sites in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, Colorado, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, Wyoming, South Dakota, and Montana. Job involves the implementation and writing of cultural resource management plans, stabilization and monitoring of architectural features on TAC’s preserves, research for new acquisitions, public relations, education and outreach, interaction with tribal and governmental agencies.The job also entails writing articles, field notes, and consultation with the editor of American Archaeology regarding current research trends in technology, as well as research being conducted throughout the Great Plains of North America.Other Duties- Analyzes, summarizes and/or reviews data; reports findings, interprets results and/or makes recommendations.•Ensures compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines, etc.•Performs field environmental inventories utilizing GIS/GPS technologies•Interprets, clarifies, explains and applies agency policy and procedures, business practices, federal or state laws and regulations, etc.•Writes or drafts cultural resource management reports, memorandums or related material based on research, investigation, or analysis.•Attends meetings public meetings and hearings•Read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or company procedures•Find, gather and collect information or data•Provide consultation and/or expert advice or testimony•Collect, analyze, interpret and present research data•Analyze issues and reach sound conclusions•Facilitate or lead hearings, meetings, teams, or work groups to encourage participation, build mutual trust, respect and cooperation among participants•Establish and maintain effective working relationships •Evaluate information against a set of standards•Communicate information and ideas clearly, and concisely, in writing; read and understand information presented in writing
