ABOUT CHAYUDA OVERBY SHE

Chayuda Overby is a dedicated educator who focuses her entire career on advocating for students of color and low-income students in higher education. As an administrator, creating projects, challenging systems, and sustaining initiatives to support students is at the heart of her work. Chayuda\'s wealth of knowledge is informed by academic study and experience in Instruction and Student Affairs. She has worked with students in Running Start, High School Completion, Counseling, Multicultural Services, Student Life and Activities, and Transitional Studies programs supporting English Language Learners and diverse communities. Chayuda\'s background as a multicultural educator is well-received by other educators from around the world. In her spare time, she is involved with many immigrant and refugee communities in Snohomish and King County, helping to bridge the gap between mainstream and under-represented communities. Chayuda connects with, supports, and coaches many youths of immigrant and refugee backgrounds, encouraging them to DREAM BIG and helping them navigate leadership roles. Originally from Bangkok, Thailand, Chayuda was also an English Language Learner. Her ability to thrive as an educational leader and social justice advocate serves as an exemplar for many. She is a trusted leader, teacher, and advisor to many BIPOC and immigrant communities.
