   Developed system-level lidar FEA models for STOP (structural thermal optical performance) analysis.• Conducted analyses (static, non-linear, modal, shock/vibration, and thermal-structural coupled) of components and sub-assemblies to optimize mechanical design.• Designed fan shrouds to enable forced convection to lidar to meet the maximum temperature targets.• Performed both mechanical and thermal testing to verify and correlate to the analytical models.• Identified root causes of failures (e.g, epoxy asymmetry and CTE mismatch led to optical distortion).
