About Chavan Vinod

A development sector professional with four years of experience, Vinod did his graduation in biotechnology from the Vellore Institute of Technology. However, his curiosity to understand the development sector made him Join Gandhi fellowship. With a focus to develop confidence, public speaking & personality development; he engaged with 120 students as part of his pilot project leading to increased participation in the classroom, assembly as well as extracurricular activities, in Churu during the fellowship. Being a Gandhi fellow for two years gave him a deep understanding of challenges at grassroots and an opportunity to test out solutions. But he felt the need to deepen his knowledge about the development sector and decided to join ISDM. ISDM offered a unique platform of not only working on grassroots but also to understand how the amalgamation of development ideas and management theories work. Vinod joined the current organization, Piramal Foundation for Education Leadership, in the year 2018. In his first year, Vinod was responsible for supporting and facilitating youth in creating impact careers by building, maintaining and growing partnerships with organizations all over India. He has been instrumental in bringing in the organizations complementary to youths’ skills and aspirations. In his second year, his role transitioned from finding an organization akin to Gandhi Fellows’ skills to designing experiences and processes for Gandhi fellowship. His transition has been seamless, to say the least, and is a proof of not only his adaptability but also of a sharp learning curve. As part of the design team, he has been at the helm of not only designing but also of executing process with fellows. His short term goal is to work as an impact consultant with organizations helping them solve problems with innovative and scalable solutions.

   Executed a programmatic review and presented actionable suggestions for a client’s education\\\\nprogram focusing on the Ashram schools of Tribal Development Department in Maharashtra.\\\\n• Conducted Due Diligence of one of the implementing partners to ensure compliance as per CSR\\\\nguidelines on various aspects such as programme management, internal controls, governance and\\\\nfinancial management.\\\\n• Developed a reference guide for the larger team to support them in programmatic and field visit\\\\nreviews and to successfully identify success stories, enablers, and barriers in the project.\\\\n• Conducted half-yearly program and partner reviews on behalf of clients to track progress based on\\\\nKPIs.\\\\n \\\\n\\\\n \\\\n \\\\n\\\\n \\\\n
