As an Addictions Counselor at the Lethbridge Youth Treatment Centre, I provide addiction treatment services in a safe, holistic environment. I work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered, trauma-informed care, focusing on vulnerable individuals and those with problematic substance use.My responsibilities include conducting comprehensive assessments, providing patient education, and facilitating group and one on one sessions. I also collaborate with staff to ensure effective care and support, performing detailed patient assessments, guiding interventions, and assisting with care and discharge planning. Through this holistic approach, I aim to improve the social determinants of health for at-risk patients, helping them achieve better health outcomes.
