I have 2 favorite things I\'ve built. First was a challenging tax product that I architected and built from the ground up, with awesome supporting teammates. Learned so much about modern scaling, deployment, security, infra as code, etc. That product was able to land us 2 large contracts from Meta and Sunrun. The second is a personal project that monitors, tracks, and alerts me to get a campsite for my entire family in a highly sought after campground in Idaho each year. Building useful and great projects is such a fun adventure.I love building things customers love. Working with Design, Product, and Engineering to build a product or solution in a seamlessly beautiful and harmonious way is my passion. I enjoy doing that the most with a great team that I can share a few laughs with while raising the standard.I\'m an Idaho man who loves everything active and outdoors from hiking and boating to snowboarding and fishing. I have 3 wonderful children and an amazing wife.

   Mar 2025 — Present · Boise, ID, US

   Promoted to Senior Software Engineer to lead high-impact initiatives across BHN’s reward and incentive ecosystem. I focus on driving product innovation through discovery work, architecting scalable backend systems, and mentoring engineering teams to maintain high standards of reliability and performance- Spearheaded a new initiative, moving from initial thought experiment to a full end-to-end Proof of Concept (POC) and PRD development- Initiated and led high-complexity rewrite of key application areas, leveraging upgraded Elasticsearch capabilities to modernize the order path- Successfully implemented a new enhanced Shopping Cart experience and automated monitoring/alerts to drive product confidence and ensure a stable MVP release- Acted as a key bridge between Engineering, Product, Design, and Accounting to eliminate technical debt, such as migrating RC Tax configurations off legacy scripts- Recognized for proactive \"ownership\" during critical outages; notably validated scope and identified stable states during high visibility recipient issues and outages- Established metrics review meetings and custom dashboards to monitor application health and improve the customer journey- Frequently sought out for high-level code reviews and troubleshooting, setting a standard for clean, maintainable code.
