I’m Chase. I\'m based in Chicago with experience in UX/UI development, IT strategy, customer support, and operations. ‍ I began my journey into tech through the Genius Bar at Apple Michigan Avenue, where I developed the skills to empathize with users and understand their needs. I was inspired by the opportunity to connect with everyday users on solutions to make their technology more accessible, engaging, and empowering. ‍ As a Senior IT Service Desk Specialist at G2, I’ve applied my technical expertise supporting SaaS and macOS software and hardware, further developing my understanding of user experience. Serving as G2’s LGBTQ+ and Allies Employee Resource Group (ERG) co-lead, I’ve produced year-round programming to highlight the diverse experiences of the queer community. I’ve demonstrated my commitment to equity through projects that prioritize accessibility and inclusiveness. Initiatives like The Bestie Bot aimed to re-direct gendered language like “Hi, guys” by offering neutral alternatives like “Hi, besties” or “Hi, gang” in G2’s Slack common areas to promote an inclusive and friendly workplace culture. Following a revamp that incorporated the feedback of cross-functional stakeholders into “Bestie Bot 2.0,” I received the company-wide PEAK Giver award in April 2022.
