About Chase Castillo
As a U.S. Air Force (USAF) officer and senior data scientist, I apply extensive knowledge, technical skills, and leadership experience in military operations research, data science, national security analysis, and project management to support Headquarters Air Force Medical Command (HQ AFMEDCOM) and Department of the Air Force (DAF) Surgeon General at the Pentagon. I have been serving as a USAF officer for 10 years. I hold a B.S. in Management from the U.S. Air Force Academy and an M.S. in Operations Research from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School, as well as Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and Project Management Professional certifications.In my current role, I lead and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of data science professionals and subject matter experts in AFMEDCOM\'s Analyses & Assessments Division (A9) to support strategic data-driven decisions and optimize medical readiness across the DAF. I leverage my expertise in computer science, applied mathematics, simulations and modeling, wargaming, and artificial intelligence to design, develop, and implement innovative solutions that enhance the operational effectiveness of DAF’s medical service.
