My name is Chase Peacock, and I hold BSc degrees in Geophysics and Geology. I have over 5 years of experience as a Senior Geophysicist/Seismic Engineer at Schlumberger, where I gained a great deal of knowledge in oilfield engineering and seismic processing while learning the upstream, midstream and downstream sectors of the oil and gas industry.Recently, I have leveraged my engineering experience as a patent engineer at Osha Bergman Watanabe & Burton LLP (OBWB). I have approximately 1.5 years experience working as a patent engineer and have written written over 20 patent applications, primarily relating to hydrocarbon exploration techniques and oilfield equipment. Some of the highly technical subject matters of these patents include, seismic processing using machine learning, laser drilling tools, automated well-log interpretation, nuclear magnetic resonance devices and techniques, gas chromatography techniques, storage tank self-cleaning mechanisms and many others.

   Registered Patent Agent- Manage Syzygy\'s intellectual property portfolio including patents, trademarks, trade secrets, etc- Formulate and execute global IP strategies, ensuring robust protection and expansion across key markets and jurisdictions- Work with inventors to draft patents and formalize patent figures- Correspond with global patent and trademark offices to facilitate grants/registrations- Conduct prior art searches and analysis for purposes for patentability and litigation- Conduct patent and technology landscape studies to identify whitespace opportunities- Perform trademark clearance searches and file trademarks in the United States- Perform and analyze freedom to operate searches- Monitor for IP infringement- Develop new processes, policies, and procedures related to confidentiality and IP protections- Work with R&D teams for invention harvesting- Present technical arguments during patent prosecution by conducting research and/or interviewing inventors or engineers- Train teams on intellectual property, confidentiality, patent and trademark processes, and trade secret protections- Perform IP security audits and ensure the protection of the company’s IP assets.As the Intellectual Property Manager, responsibilities also include serving on and facilitating the \'IP and Innovations Review Committee\' to oversee and guide the organization’s IP strategy. The committee works to ensure our IP aligns with business goals and maximizes the value of our intellectual assets.
