During my internship at Morley Builders, I supported the project management team through various phases of construction, gaining valuable hands-on experience in the coordination and execution of large-scale building projects. I was responsible for managing and tracking RFIs (Requests for Information) and submittals, ensuring effective communication between the design team, subcontractors, and project managers to maintain progress and accuracy throughout the project lifecycle.I assisted with procurement activities, including obtaining material quotes, reviewing specifications, and coordinating vendor deliveries to keep the project on schedule and within budget. Toward the project’s completion, I contributed to closeout documentation, helping prepare punch lists, organize as-built drawings, and compile warranty and turnover packages.This role strengthened my understanding of construction management fundamentals—including document control, scheduling, quality assurance, and field coordination—and gave me direct exposure to how project engineers bridge communication between the office and the field to ensure successful project delivery.
