As a CaRE2 Post-Baccalaureate Trainee through the CaRE2 Health Equity Center, funded by the National Cancer Institute at the National Institutes of Health I’ll be conducting research under Dr. Nazarius Lamango at Florida A&M University, focusing on KRAS mutations in oncogenes and their role in non–small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) progression. My work includes protein assays, cell culture, and testing synthesized compounds against current KRAS-targeted therapies like sotorasib and adagrasib.
