About Chase Dobson

Over the past four years, I’ve gained experience in federal and state government, legislative advocacy, and Vermont Democratic politics, working as an intern for Senator Peter Welch in 2024, as an intern for Vermont State Senator Brian Campion in 2021, and as a field organizer for Molly Gray’s campaign for Congress in 2022. I also served as a Legislative Intern with the Drug Policy Alliance over the spring of 2025; I returned to this role in January of 2026. In addition, I previously served as the head of CivicsandMe, a volunteer group which provides free-of-cost civics lessons to young learners. My experience lies predominantly in voter communications, event organization, and policy research. I am also excited to assist campaigns with speechwriting. Policy-wise, I am interested working through rehabilitation and prevention efforts to combat the opioid epidemic in rural communities. As a Laidlaw Scholar, I have conducted a multi-state, IRB-approved research project regarding community stigma toward those with SUD. Outside of politics and government, I am a tutor in the Law School Admissions Test. I truly love teaching and the process involved with assisting aspiring lawyers in their LSAT journey.
