Director of Sponsored Programs
Mar 2010 — Present · Boone, NC
Pre and postaward research administration for externally funded projects involving faculty and staff. I provide signature authority for grants and contract submissions and awards. In addition, I lead a wonderful team of 4.5 sponsored programs managers who offer guidance and instruction in reading and intrpreting guidelines, editing proposals, negotiating awards and contracts, and drafting agreements issued by the University. Our office manages the internal routing process, submits proposals on behalf of the institution, negotiates awards and contracts, and manages the programmatic administration of funded projects for the duration of the project period.
