WORK HISTORY
Founder and Lead Evaluator @Chicago Department Of Public Health
Chicago, IL, US
My primary grounding in evaluation is a realist approach which posits that context is causal and seeks to answer questions on how programs and policies work for various populations, under what conditions, and why. I draw on quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods approaches to design and implement evaluations. My approach with the opioid epidemic took a systems approach to identifying the most crucial points in use and focusing resources on those times to keep people with use disorders alive. In immunization delivery, I have designed evaluations that combine data collection with program delivery so that efforts to collect data reinforce service delivery. I have strong facilitation skills and can keep a conversation organized, manage personalities, and keep a group on track to achieve its goals.
