About Charlotte Shays
My name is Charlotte Shays and I am currently a junior at The University of Tennessee, Knoxville. I am majoring in Business Management and Entrepreneurship with a collateral in International Business and a minor in Retail Merchandising and Management, and I am pursing a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. I consider my key strengths to be my ability to communicate effectively and being a restorative individual. As the purchasing chair of Delta Zeta Beta Lambda, I am constantly using these strengths to create and design merchandise for my fellow sisters. During my time as purchasing chair, I have worked closely with various brand ambassadors to create and order merchandise in bulk for over 400 sorority members multiple times a year. This experience has taught me how to organize myself far in advance and collaborate with multiple people at once.I have many different interests, however I am passionate about pursuing a career in Management or Fashion Merchandising. The reason both of these careers appeal to me is because they have a high emphasis on collaboration, outreach, and overall working with others. I love to work around other people because I believe I can gain and learn something new from everyone I meet. Working as purchasing chair, I have loved getting to meet people from various brands and work with the other chairs in my sorority to bring different visions to life. This experience taught me that I would succeed greatly in a career that involves direct communication or outreach, and has also taught me that I am more than capable of handling multiple things at once.
