Co-led the work on assessing climate risks and opportunities for sovereign securities (20••••24) and bridging data gaps (20••••22)- Co-led two chapters in the IMF Global Financial Stability Report (2022, 2023) and participated to the 2023 IMF-FSB early warning exercise on assessing climate systemic tail risks.• Spearhead the development & implementation of the bilateral TA program on taxonomy design, climate risk disclosure and management, transition financial planning and risk assessment (delivery in English/Spanish/French to ministries of Finance & Central Banks in Africa, Latin America, Central Asia). Deliver training in regional workshops (Middle East, Eastern Africa, LATAM).• Conduct policy-oriented research on the coal phaseout transition, the energy transition and scenario design for climate risk analysis, and nature-related macro-financial risks.• Co-lead the work on including climate indicators in the IMF\'s monetary and financial statistics.• Regular reviewer for IEA, IRENA, UNEP flagship publications on climate, energy finance and policy.

ABOUT CHARLOTTE GARDES-LANDOLFINI
I am a multilingual climate economist with 10+ years of relevant experience in public policy, financial regulation, climate finance, and international relations.I joined the International Monetary Fund in 2021, after 5 years spent in the civil service in France (Treasury Department and Securities Markets Authority) working on climate-related financial regulation and sustainable finance policy design and implementation at the domestic and EU level. I\'ve also gained relevant professional experience in the European Commission, in corporate and financial law firms, in the French Delegation to the OECD, and in social/micro-finance. I am a Ph.D. student in Law and Economics, focusing my doctoral research on prudential regulation and climate risks (to be completed in 2026). I’ve held various teaching positions over the years in French and American universities, notably in environmental and development economics, and I’ve been an expert/academic member of several research groups and scientific committees on climate finance/policy in France and the US. Back in 2020, I co-founded and taught for two years a 24-hour master\'s degree-level course on the economics of the just transition in Sciences Po Paris. I am passionate about climate/environmental science, energy economics, and the just transition.
