Working part-time as a waitress in this very busy restaurant has provided me with several transferrable skills which will stand me in good stead for a career in law. This pressurized work environment has definitely honed my multi-tasking and time management skills as I am constantly juggling tables and food and drinks orders. These are valuable skills in the legal world as lawyers often have to manage heavy workloads and tight deadlines. I often have to think on my feet as unexpected issues across which enables me to practices my problem-solving skills. My work as a waitress has also greatly enhanced my interpersonal and communication skills.
